Designed for use with DAT and other critical digital recording and transmission media in the field. The FP32A is a complete redesign of the FP32 with over 40 new features, including a dynamic range of over 100 dB and self-noise 30 dB less than the FP32. The FP32A includes 12- and 48-volt phantom power and 12-volt A-B (T) power for condenser microphones, LED indicators for input channel levels, output peaks, limiter action, and low battery. Additional features include an input link switch to couple inputs 2 and 3 into a stereo pair, a Mix Bus to connect two FP32A mixers together, pop-up pan pots, headphone monitoring mode switch and headphone MS stereo matrix, Monitor In switch, and internal DIP switches to select functions such as VU meter scale, limiter threshold, VU lamp timeout, and monitor mode. Powered by two 9V alkaline batteries or an external 12 to 30 Vdc power supply.
