Recently while doing some repairs to our house, I came across this picture of the World Trade Center and the poem on the reverse side hanging on our foyer wall - it's been there since we moved in almost 12 years ago.
Originally It was a gift to my wife, Merle from her best friend Lillie while in College. Taken in 1979, the picture and poem are more
poignant than ever.
Past
dreams and times slowly disintegrating
Stand as hollow ruins of ancient ghosts.
Upon the hopes that did not crumble
or from which we learned.
The stronger, more tangible dreams of today are built.
